I was a mess. In five years I had both knees replaced and back surgery. I walked stooped over and I wheezed when I breathed. When I asked for a senior ticket at the movies no one requested ID. I was 65 going on 80! I always worked out so 6 months after the back surgery I wanted to return to exercise.
For 3 months I tried but it was no good. I could not move well and I was in pain. I could not lose an ounce of the 15 pounds gained since the back surgery. I was afraid to do anything that might hurt me even more. I was so careful I didn’t even sweat. I was literally and emotionally at a standstill. But I gave one more try and asked about a personal trainer.
I was referred to Kate. We have been working out together for about seven months. Kate had me standing up straight and working out again in no time. She sent me to the right doctor and my breathing was brought under control. I lost 13 of the 15 pounds so far. I am able to work out hard enough to sweat again. I actually took up boxing with Kate, of course. I have less pain and more energy. Even my blood pressure is lower. Kate has become my confidante, my health guru, my life coach and my biggest cheer leader.
I look forward to every workout.. In all ways I am moving forward. And now when I buy a senior ticket I have to show my Driver’s License!
Thanks Kate.
